Minor surgeries are procedures that the Carecore Health Center team can perform at the office. That way, you don’t have to travel to an outside hospital to get the care you need. In-office procedures also save you time and money by performing the surgery outside of a hospital setting.

The Carecore Health Center team performs a variety of minor surgeries at the office, including:
Wart removal
A wart is a grainy growth caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). While there are at-home treatments for warts, the most effective treatments are cryotherapy (freezing) and surgical removal. Removing the wart in-office can help prevent regrowth.
Stitches
If you endure a deep cut, the team performs stitches in-office to close the wound and prevent infection.
Ingrown nail treatment
An ingrown nail occurs when the edge of the nail begins growing into the surrounding skin. Ingrown nails can feel tender, painful, and appear swollen. The Carecore Health Center team offers complete treatment for ingrown nails, including partial or full removal of the nail.
Sebaceous cyst removal
A sebaceous cyst is a fluid-filled lump that can appear on the face, ears, scalp, groin, or back. To remove a sebaceous cyst, the team makes a small incision to drain it. If the cyst is small enough, they may surgically remove it.
Thrombosed hemorrhoid treatment
Hemorrhoids are swollen veins in anus or lower rectum. If a hemorrhoid clots, the team may recommend draining it to relieve the swelling.
Abscess drainage
An abscess is a pus-filled sac that contains potentially harmful bacteria. Surgically draining the abscess is the best way to prevent it from rupturing inside your body.
What if I need a minor surgery right away?
The Carecore Health Center team understands that you can’t always predict when you’ll need minor surgery. That’s why they accept walk-ins for those in urgent need of laceration repair and other common minor surgeries.
The clinic has in-house imaging tests, such as X-rays and electrocardiograms (EKGs), and an onsite laboratory to ensure you have access to any testing service you may need.
